Transportable steel wash pads are heavy duty drive-on structures designed to collect and retain all wash water from cleaning vehicles and equipment. These wash pads can be erected on any stable surface, eliminating the need for construction permitting or permanent concrete pads.
All transportable pads are manufactured to stringent H-20/HS-20 traffic loading standards, which can handle large truck axle loading up to 32,000 lbs. Heavier-duty pads are also available to handle military tanks and extremely heavy vehicles or equipment if desired.
There are three types of pad designs available, depending upon the amount of solids that will need to be collected from the cleaning operation: Flat Pads, Inclined Pads, and Heavy Solids Pads.
The pads are constructed with 1/2″ thick steel plate on the deck surface and steel support members under the inclined and heavy solids pad. They are manufactured in sections for ease of transportation. This modular concept permits custom sizing without significant cost concerns.
All pads are designed to be capable of disassembly and relocation with minimal effort – no field welding or permanent fasteners are utilized.
